Two Injured after Two Multi-Vehicle Crashes on I-95 in Maine
Two people were injured after two multi-vehicle crashes on I-95 in Bangor on Saturday morning.
Driver Caused Multi-Vehicle Crashes on I-95
The Maine State Police said one vehicle caused a chain reaction after speeding up and crossing into the travel lane to take exit 186.
Chain Reaction Crash with Three Vehicles
"This created a chain reaction crash involving three vehicles that blocked both the passing and travel lanes. The vehicle that took the exit was not involved in the crash and did not stop,” said MSP.
Second Multi-Vehicle Crash
A second three-vehicle crash happened as a result of the first multi-vehicle collision. Two people in the second crash were injured and taken to the hospital.
I-95 Blocked for an Hour
Traffic blocked the Interstate for an hour as the road was cleared. No information about charges was released. The crash remains under investigation.
