Tractor Trailer Flips, Breaks Utility Pole on Route 11
A tractor trailer flipped over and broke a utility pole Monday night on Route 11 in T7 R5, south of Masardis. .
Forty-two-year-old Alan Jackson from Reynoldsburg, Ohio was southbound when he lost control of the rig and crashed around 10:18 PM Monday, according to the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.
Jackson, along with his female passenger, received minor injuries and were transported to Northern Light AR Gould Hospital in Presque Isle. Officials said both occupants were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
The trailer unit was fully loaded with potatoes.
Deputy Sheriff Richard York responded to the crash. Ashland Fire and Ambulance as well as Masardis Fire Dept. assisted on scene.
