Two women and a man are behind bars following a weekend drug bust in the Verret sector of Edmundston.
The Edmundston Police Force says their Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant Sunday evening at a residence on Chemin Gabourie.
During the search, police officers allegedly seized methamphetamine, various unknown substances to be analyzed, articles used for the consumption and sale of drugs, bladed weapons as well as prohibited bladed weapons.
Police arrested three people in connection with the warrant: 28-year-old Kristin Larsen, 27-year-old Jessica Gendreau and 35-year-old Patrick Lapointe.
All three appeared in Edmundston Provincial Court on Monday and are facing charges. They are currently in pre-trial detention and will have to appear in Court again on Thursday, April 7th for their release hearing.
Edmundston police say the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be filed against them.
