The Third Annual Caribou Marathon, September 16th!
Townsquare Media is broadcasting live from the Caribou Marathon, September 16th! We’ll talk to the organizers, runners and more at the start/finish line and along the route.
The Caribou Marathon features the full marathon (26.2 mile loop), half marathon (13.1 mile), relay races (full course), hand cycle & push rim races, the kids’ marathon is free + a lot of fun activities for all.
The marathon route has some of the most beautiful & scenic views in Aroostook County, Maine.

2-7 PM: Packet Pick Up at the Rec Center, 55 Bennett Dr.
4 PM: KIDS! Race
4:30-7 PM: Spaghetti Dinner
Sunday, September 16, 2018
6:30 AM – 7:45 AM: Packet Pick Up at the Rec Center, 55 Bennett Dr.
7:45 AM: Hand Cycle & Push Rim Races Start
8 AM: Marathon, Half Marathon & Relays Start
9:30 AM - 4:30 PM: After Party / Potato Bar for Runners.
4 PM: Race Course Closes.

BENNETT DRIVE: Most of the road will be shut down for the race and town festival.
COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT: If you are local, you know that the river has reclaimed parts of River Rd on a permanent basis. This does NOT affect the half marathon. However, we have to reroute the full marathon. Yes; this affects the USATF certification. YES; we will have a new certified route well before the race.
NOTE TO RUNNERS: You will start and finish in the same area where there will be an abundance of restrooms as well as (limited) showers, post-race snacks, and a warm drink station. There will be a potato bar & beer at the finish line for all runners. The Caribou Wellness Center is heated and on-site for your comfort.
