The site of a Reny's truck parked in front of the old Christmas Tree shop on Springer Drive in Bangor last fall set the City a buzz with excitement.
And last week, when the big green Renys sign finally went up for all to see, anticipation for the store opening was at an all-time high.
But as she often does, Mother Nature has other plans for Thursday. And local meteorologists are saying we're in for some significant snow and winds.
So, to be on the safe side, management at Renys made the call to postpone the opening by one day, erring on the side of caution.

Sibyl Pitcock, Director of Marketing for Renys says where the weather is kind of up in the air at the moment, they wanted to make sure both their customers and their new employees didn't put themselves at risk trying to get into the store on Thursday.
"We don't want to take a chance. We have no idea."
"No April Fools, but due to the snow, we want to be safe and move it to Friday instead."
The Renys Facebook Page says all the fun things they have planned will still be happening...just one day later.
"We will be holding the ribbon cutting at 10 am, with the raffles/giveaways still happening throughout the weekend!"
