One man was injured Saturday morning after a tractor-trailer crashed and caught fire on I-95 in Arundel.

Medical Event before Crash

The Maine State Police said the driver was believed to have had a medical event before the crash.

Tractor-Trailer Fire

The tractor-trailer caught on fire after hitting the median guardrail around 7:58 am.

Driver Taken to Hospital

The driver was taken to Maine Medical Center in Biddeford. Name and age were not released. No other injuries were reported.

I-95 Closed in the Area

Northbound I-95 was closed for several hours in the area near mile marker 30.

Ongoing Crash Investigation

The crash is under investigation. Assisting on the scene was the Maine State Police, Wells Fire, Kennebunk Fire, Chandler’s Towing, National Towing, and the Maine Turnpike Authority.
