One Dead & Two Injured In Southern Maine Crash
SOUTH THOMASTON, Maine (AP) — Police say one person died and two others were injured in a single vehicle crash in South Thomaston, Maine.
Police say 21-year-old Zachary Elwell of St. George was pronounced dead at the scene. Nineteen-year-old Kelsey Campbell of South Thomaston and 19-year-old Austin Jurkowski of St. George were both taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Police say witnesses saw the vehicle driving at a high rate of speed while passing a vehicle when Campbell, the driver, lost control. WABI-TV reports the witnesses say the vehicle went off the road, hit trees and rolled over several times.
The crash is still under investigation.
