Motorcycle and Car Accident Sends One to The Hospital in Caribou

A 66-year-old man was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle and car collided Friday afternoon on Route 1 South.

Michael Bouchard of Caribou was taken to Cary Medical Center with unknown head injuries, said the Caribou Police Department.

The accident occurred at around 1:51 p.m. when 60-year-old Carol Mowers from Caribou turned into the path of Bouchard's 2008 Harley Davidson, said Chief Michael Gahagan.

Mowers' Chrysler has extensive front end damage and Bouchard's Harley is a total loss, said police. Officer Keith Ouellette is investigating the accident.
