This Is the Most Popular Beard Style in Maine
Here in Maine, it’s not uncommon for the fellas to sport some facial hair, but what’s the most common style here?
Especially during the colder months, there's no doubt. With our long, cold winters, a beard adds a bit of extra warmth, like a natural scarf. It’s almost like having a built-in defense against the freezing temperatures!
How does one even determine the most popular beard style in each state? Do they check our driver's licenses to decide?
The Black Tux Blog analyzed beard trends across the U.S. using Google Trends search data. They looked at which beard styles were the most searched in each state and region. From this data, they identified the most popular beard style in every state. They also calculated the overall most popular beard styles by finding the ones searched in the most states.
With that in mind, what is Maine’s most popular beard style?
According to findings from The Black Tux Blog’s article, ‘What Are the Top Beard Styles in Every State?’ the goatee is apparently the most popular style in our Pine Tree State. The Black Tux Blog shared the following about the results:
The goatee, which dominated three out of four regions, is also the most popular beard nationally, earning the most-searched beard title in a total of fifteen states. And as the most popular beard in ten states, the mustache isn’t all that far behind.
So, there you have it—the most popular facial hair style in Maine is also the most popular in the country.
What are your thoughts on the goatee being Maine’s most popular beard style? Do you agree? Do you see more goatees than chin straps or mutton chops? We’d love to hear from you! Feel free to join the conversation by messaging us on the app.
