Man Dies Following Car Collision With Moose in Memramcook
A Fredericton man died September 26 from his injuries when his car hit a moose on September 23 around 9 p.m. on Highway 2 in Memramcook.

Students and staff at St. Thomas University in Fredericton are mourning the loss of one of their professors. 54-year-old Brian Carty died from injuries he sustained in a car crash over the weekend.
RCMP said his car collided with a moose on the Trans-Canada Highway near Memramcook, New Brunswick on Saturday evening. Carty was taken to a Moncton hospital along with his 56-year-old female passenger. No word on the woman's condition today.

The 54-year-old man's name was not given by the RCMP. The name of his passenger, a 56-year-old woman, was not provided. Both were taken to the hospital after the crash, said the RCMP.
The investigation is ongoing. The RCMP said speed and alcohol were not factors.
