One man died and two people were seriously injured Saturday night after a head-on crash near Merrymeeting Bridge in Topsham.
Man Died at Hospital from Injuries Sustained in Crash
A 23-year-old man was given life saving measures at the scene. He was then taken to Mid Coast Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Man and Woman Seriously Injured in Collision
A 34-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were seriously injured and transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment.
Two-Vehicle Crash Saturday Night
A 2020 GMC pickup truck and 2019 Volvo SUV were involved in the collision around 10:30 pm
Vehicle Crossed the Centerline and Collided with Oncoming Traffic
The Topsham Police Department said “preliminary investigation indicated one vehicle crossed the centerline into the oncoming lane, resulting in a head-on collision.”
Crash is Under Investigation
Names were not released. A Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office reconstructionist was on the scene. The crash investigation is ongoing.
