A 45-year-old man died Friday evening after spinning out of control and crashing into a tree on Old Stage Road in Arrowsic.
Man Died after Spinning Out and Hitting Tree
The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office said Jeremy Beane from Arrowsic lost control of his 1979 Chevy Malibu, left the road, hit a ditch and spun out before hitting a tree.
Bystanders Pulled him from the Car and Started First Aid
Witnesses pulled Beane out of the car and began life-saving measures until EMS arrived. Beane died at the scene.
Road Closed for Hours
The road was closed for several hours. The crash investigation is ongoing.
