Man Died after Concrete Retaining Wall Collapsed in Maine
A 67-year-old man died Tuesday after part of a retaining wall collapsed in Brownville.
First Responders Tried to Resuscitate the Man
The Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office said ‘EMS personnel worked on the injured person. Their efforts to resuscitate the victim were unsuccessful and he was pronounced deceased.”
Man Died at the Scene
Stephen Lane from Glenburn died at the scene of the accident.
Sidewalk and Retaining Wall Work
Crews were replacing a retaining wall and sidewalk under the railroad bridge when the incident happened around 2:45 pm.
Ongoing Investigation
OSHA and the Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
