
Man Charged with OUI after Woman Seriously Injured in Maine
A 33-year-old man was arrested Sunday night and charged with OUI after a crash seriously injured a 71-year-old woman in Woolwich.
Aggravated OUI Charges
Porter Sickels from Biddeford was charged with Aggravated Operating Under the Influence with Serious Bodily Injury, a felony.
Woman Trapped and Extricated from Car
Deborah Webster from Round Pond had to be extricated from her vehicle after the collision at the intersection of Route 1 and Weston Road.
Truck Crossed Centerline into Oncoming Traffic
The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office said Sickels was driving a Ford F-150 when he crossed the centerline and collided head-on with Webster in a Toyota 4Runner.
Truck and Vehicle Collided Head-On
The truck went off the road and the Toyota spun around and stopped in the breakdown lane with extensive damage.
Woman Flown by Helicopter to Hospital
Webster had serious injuries and was taken by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Man Arrested and Taken to Jail
Sickels had minor injuries and was transported to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. He was released and arrested. He was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail and was being held on $10,000 cash bail.
Crash Investigation and Reconstruction
The crash is under investigation and being reconstructed by the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office. The road was closed in the area for three hours and reopened around 9:30 pm.

Assisting on the scene was the Woolwich Fire and Rescue, Mid Coast Hospital MC-1 and the Bath Police Department.
