Man Arrested for OUI after Driving Truck near Capitol in Maine
A 64-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for OUI after driving a tractor-trailer “erratically” near the Maine Capitol building.
Capitol Police Arrest Man for Operating Under the Influence
The Capitol Police arrested Gerald King of Buxton and charged him with operating under the influence while operating a commercial vehicle following a field sobriety test.
Driving Erratically near Capitol
Officers pulled King over on Leighton Street around 2:10 pm after 911 calls “of a tractor trailer unit driving erratically in the area,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
Drunk Driver Out on Bail
King was taken to the Augusta Police Department for booking and then transported to the Kennebec County Jail. He was later released on bail.
