
Man Arrested and Charged with Drug Trafficking & Guns in Maine
A 47-year-old man was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and firearms possession after narcotics and a gun were seized during a traffic stop in South Portland.
Drug and Firearms Charges
Michael Myrick was taken into custody around 1 am early Sunday morning in the area of Gorham Road and Clarks Pond.
Gun and Drug Evidence in Vehicle
The South Portland Police Department said officers saw a firearm and drug evidence during the routine traffic stop.
Drugs and Handgun Seized
Police seized a handgun, 159.2 grams of fentanyl, 7.2 grams of cocaine base and 12.8 grams of meth.
Shotgun and More Drugs
A search warrant was also issued for his Marcelle Avenue residence where law enforcement confiscated more drugs and a shotgun.
Multiple Charges
Myrick was charged with Unlawful Drug Possession, Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Furnishing of Scheduled Drugs, Unlawful Drug Trafficking.
$20,000 Cash Bail
He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail with bail set at $20,000 cash.
