A 66-year-old man and 61-year-old woman died and one man was injured Thursday after a two-vehicle crash on Route 1 in Orient, Maine.

Two Died in Collision

Dale Foley Sr. and Donna Foley from Orient were pronounced dead at the scene. They were both in the same vehicle.

Airlifted to Hospital

The other driver, 50-year-old Jason Brewer from Weston, was flown by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

Driving in Wrong Lane

The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office said Brewer’s Dodge Ram was “traveling southbound in the wrong lane, striking the 2019 Jeep Compass that was being operated by Dale Foley.”

Ongoing Investigation

The crash is under investigation, said Sheriff Peter A. Johnson.

First Responders

Assisting on the scene was the Danforth Ambulance, Southern Aroostook Ambulance, Danforth Fire, Hodgdon Fire and Houlton Fire.
