The Phantom Gourmet is a food-related television program featuring in depth looks at New England area restaurants.
The show airs on WSBK-TV in Boston, Massachusetts, each Saturday and Sunday morning, with an hour episode composed of older clips followed by an hour-long episode, that features local restaurants and profiles of chefs and owners.
The very idea of choosing the "Best Lobster Roll In Maine" is no easy task. The state has hundreds of restautants and food trucks that offfer up this much in demand deliacy.

A family run business, the self proclaimed "Home of Maine's #1 Lobster Roll" Red's Eats has been serving up killer food since 1938, but they do a whole lot more than lobster rolls. In fact, they have over 70 other fresh selections on the menu, including a red snapper hot dog that will make you weak in the knees.
Back in the day, when I lived and worked in Bath, I always made it a point to head over to the heart of Maine Street, in Wiscasset, where they are loacted.
Word to the wise, have plenty of spare time, they sometimes have a line of customers that will test your patience. It's worth it.
Red's Eats will be celebrating their 88th year of operation, and will be open for the 2026 season, on May 6th!
Operating hours will be Wednesday-Sunday, from 11:30am-5:00pm
Voted Maine’s #1 Lobster Roll on several lists, they were also inducted to TripAdvisor’s Hall Of Fame.
