A 38-year-old woman was sentenced to 55 years in prison for stabbing a woman almost 500 times and killing her in Maine.

Kailie Brackett from Perry was sentenced on Friday in Washington County.

Two Woman Charged with Murder

Brackett and 38-year-old Donnell Dana were charged with murdering 43-year-old Kimberly Neptune at her Pleasant Point home in April 2022.

Victim Stabbed 484 Times

Neptune was stabbed 484 times. Bracket said she was “best friends” with Neptune. Neptune’s body was found wrapped in a blanket, said the Maine State Police.
