There's a few consistent things you'll see when traveling throughout the state of Maine.

One of those things is small town restaurants. All across the state, there are mom and pop places that are vital to their communities. Hubs for food and socializing.

For more than 40 years, the Maine Diner has been serving up good meals to some locals and plenty of tourists looking for a taste of small town charm.

The iconic Maine Diner and gift shop located at 2265 Post Rd in Wells, Maine, has officially been listed for sale by Daigle Commercial Group.

The listing includes the Maine Diner restaurant, the adjacent gift shop as well as the e-commerce platform the diner generates. The asking price is roughly $3.3 million.

According to MaineBiz, business has been fantastic for the Maine Diner but the current owner just feels like it's time to move on after 30 years at the head of the table.

The Maine Diner Was Famously Highlighted By Guy Fieri on Food Network

Celebrity chef Guy Fieri hasn't been to Maine often on his Diners, Drive-ins and Dives show. But on one of his few trips, he absolutely raved about the Maine Diner.

Fieri enjoyed a pair of signature classics during his visit to the Maine Diner. Their succulent Lobster Pie as well as their Seafood Chowder.

While Fieri's visit came more than 15 years ago, people still visit the Maine Diner each year because of its feature on his show.
