Maine Corrections Officer Arrested for Dealing Cocaine
PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Police say a corrections officer at a Maine jail has been arrested on a charge of dealing cocaine.
Twenty-two-year-old Davis Glazener of South Portland was arraigned Wednesday afternoon on the felony charge. He's a corrections officer at Cumberland County Jail in Portland.
The Portland Press Herald reports Sheriff Kevin Joyce says there is no indication the drug trafficking is connected to Glazener's work as a corrections officer. Joyce says Glazener appears to have been "living two lives."
Glazener didn't enter a plea during Wednesday's court appearance. He was booked at Cumberland County Jail and has been transferred to the York County Jail, where his bail was set at $5,000.
Glazener's on administrative leave without pay amid an internal investigation. It was unclear on Wednesday if he has hired a lawyer.
