Before I get into how to assist this year's sold-out TD Beach to Beacon Run, here is a preamble behind this renowned 10K.

If you are from Maine, you are probably familiar with the name Joan Benoit Samuelson. At the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, she became the first women's Olympic marathon gold medalist. She won the Boston Marathon in 1979. She founded the TD Beach to Beacon Run which has remarkably benefitted children's charities for almost three decades. Most importantly, she is a Mainer.
