Two women were seriously injured Wednesday after a head-on crash with a logging truck on Togus Road in Chelsea.
Two Women Injured and Taken to Hospital
The Kennebec County Sheriff's Office said a 46-year-old woman and 61-year-old woman were rushed to the hospital after being trapped inside the vehicle. Names were not released.
Truck Engulfed in Flames
The logging truck was on fire and engulfed in flames when first responders arrived on the scene. The 71-year-old driver was able to escape without injury.

The logging truck driver was given a blood test as standard protocol in this type of crash, according to WGME News. Results were not made available.
