Tuesday's Aroostook League Nordic Ski meet in Caribou has been cancelled.  They don't have enough snow yet.  It will be rescheduled to a later date.  The race for Thursday Dec. 17 at Four Seasons in Madawaska at 3pm is still on.

Meanwhile, Big Rock Ski in Mars Hill has postponed its opening. The new opening date is this Saturday, December 19.

And a city-owned outdoor recreational area in Waterville has canceled its opening cross-country ski race, also due to a lack of snow stemming from the unseasonably warm temperatures. The ski course at Quarry Road Recreation Area was closed to NENSA Zak Cup racers Sunday "due to the continued warm weather."
