Kedgwick Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 34-year-old man from Kedgwick, N.B., has been arrested and charged in connection with an incident during which another man suffered a gunshot wound.
Shortly before midnight Monday, members of the Saint-Quentin RCMP responded to an altercation between two men outside a residence on Route 265 in Kedgwick River.
During the altercation, one of the men discharged a firearm. A 60-year-old man was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
A 34-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the incident.
Philip Latour-Bergamo appeared in Campbellton Provincial Court on June 19 and was charged with attempted murder. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court for a bail hearing on June 21 at 9:30 a.m.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
