If there’s one thing Peter Quill is really good at (besides making people want to kill him), it’s listing. Namely, listing all of his friends, which he has done in maybe three Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailers so far. We get it, Pete, you’ve got little epithets for all your buddies. The newest TV spot looks just as fun and bizarre as the previous ones, with the misfit family of Guardians going up against more legions of spaceships, a tall gold woman, and a giant tentacle beast. So, the usual.

Next up is another character trailer, this time for everyone’s favorite belligerent baby tree. Groot is back, and he’s got quite the temper for a being of such small size. In this teensy spot, he gets in a fight with a regular-sized man and two small hopping lizards that look like the ones Peter Quill kicks around the opening credits of the first movie. Except, to Groot, they look more like dinosaurs. Small, pet-sized dinosaurs.

Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” continues the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage. ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ is the sequel to the surprise Marvel hit of 2014 with Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot returning for another round of space adventures. The new film will reportedly reveal the mystery of who Peter Quill’s father is, one which may have major implications for Quill and the entire Guardians team.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters May 5.
