A 41-year-old man died when his pickup struck a tree and caught fire Sunday evening in Avon, Maine. There were four highway deaths in Maine over the weekend.

Jason Flagg from Strong, Maine died at the scene, said Public Safety Spokesman, Stephen McCausland. The crash occurred after 6 p.m. on Mile Square Road. Troopers said speed was a likely cause.
There were four highway deaths in Maine over the weekend. A man died in Lebanon after his pickup overturned, a two vehicle crash in Searsmont left one man dead, and a fatal motorcycle crash on Saturday in Hollis.
