Former Sox Ross To Join ESPN
Former Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs World Series catcher David Ross will be donning the television analyst role for ESPN starting this upcoming season.
Ross is coming off a second World Series championship, as he helped the Cubs to breaking a 108-year title drought this past October. The catcher also won a title with the Red Sox in Boston back during the 2013 season.
"I'm excited to dive right in and start talking baseball with my new colleagues at ESPN," Ross said in a statement released by ESPN on Monday morning. "It truly is the worldwide leader in sports and I'm grateful for the opportunity to join this incredible team. We're going to have a lot of fun this season."
Ross also spent some time in Bangor during the Winter of 2014 as he talked about his career and championship at an event hosted by the Ticket.
Ross played 15 seasons in the MLB with the Dodgers, Pirates, Padres, Reds, Red Sox, Braves, and Cubs. He finished his career with a 106 home runs.
