Father Dies, Daughter Unharmed after ATV Crash in Allagash, Maine
A 65-year old man died - his 4-year-old daughter was unharmed - when their ATV crashed Friday afternoon in the Allagash.
The all-terrain vehicle flipped and crushed Bonny Hafford from the Allagash when he was trying to go up a gravel pit embankment around 12:30 pm Friday. Hafford’s 4-year-old daughter was thrown from the ATV, but was not injured, said the Communications Director Mark Latti, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
The accident happened near 352 Dickey Road. The Maine Warden Service investigated the accident, assisted by Fort Kent EMS, Allagash Fire, and ASI Ambulance.
Hafford was taken to Lajoie Daigle Funeral Home in Fort Kent.
