
Fairfield Man Sentenced for Illegally Possessing Firearms and Ammunition
A 54-year-old Fairfield man received a sentence Wednesday for time served for illegally possessing firearms and ammunition.
Steven Lemieux was also fined $5,000. He was convicted on June 15th and has been in custody since May 14th.
Court records and evidence revealed:
Lemieux possessed seven firearms and 784 rounds of ammunition. He was prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition due to a 2006 federal felony conviction for providing false information to a federal firearm licensee.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted the investigation along with the Fairfield Police Department.
