Drug Trafficking Arrest and ½ Pound of Fentanyl Seized in Maine
A 34-year-old man was arrested Thursday for aggravated drug trafficking and more than a ½ pound of Fentanyl was seized after a foot chase in Lewiston.
Drug Trafficking Arrest ½ Pound of Fentanyl Seized
The MDEA and the Lewiston Police Department said Jonathan E. Paige from Boston, Massachusetts was taken into custody on Sabattus Street.
Police Saw Drug Deal
MDEA Agents and the Lewiston Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit saw Paige making a drug deal on Sabattus Street.
“Tossed” Bag with Drugs during Chase
Paige ran from Officers when confronted. He “was quickly taken into custody,” said police.
331 Grams (½ Pound) Seized
A bag Paige tossed while fleeing contained ½ pound of Fentanyl. Agents seized 331 grams of the illegal drug with a street value of $30,000.
Jail and Bail
Paige was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail with bail set at $10,000 cash.
