The May 15th deadline is fast approaching for those New Brunswickers who have had their home or business damaged by spring flooding. People are being asked to register with Service New Brunswick as soon as possible.

The Provincial Government will use the information to analyze the extent of damage caused by flooding over the past month and will determine if New Brunswick will apply for federal disaster financial assistance.

Department of Public Safety spokesperson Paul Bradley said today that so far, hundreds of New Brunswickers have registered their flood damage.

Bradley says, “As of this morning we have received 432 damage reports. There has been almost 540 inspections requested around the province. The province has completed almost 490 inspections so far and we expect to receive some more”.

The deadline to register flooding damage with Service New Brunswick is May 15th.

People whose property has sustained damage as a result of recent flooding should report this damage by calling Service New Brunswick at 1-888-298-8555. People can also report online at www.snb.ca/emo
