
Man Charged with Trying to Run a Vehicle Off the Road in Maine
A 29-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning and charged with trying to run a driver off the road in Rockland.
Charged with Reckless Conduct and Driving to Endanger
Michael Canfield from Warren was charged with Reckless Conduct and Driving to Endanger.
Driving Erratically and at a High Rate of Speed
The Rockland Police Department said Canfield was driving erratically and at high rates of speed.
Drove into Oncoming Lane to Reckless Pass a Vehicle
Officers located his vehicle as he was “driving into the oncoming lane attempting to recklessly pass another vehicle on the double yellow,” according to Rockland PD.
Reportedly Attempted to Run Another Vehicle Off the Road
Officials also learned Canfield “reportedly attempted to run another vehicle, at random, off the roadway earlier in the day.”

Man had Previously Fled from Officers and Led Police on a Chase
Canfield had also fled from police and led officers on a chase through Rockland earlier in March.

Charges are Pending for a Police Chase Earlier in March
Charges are pending for that incident as the investigation is ongoing.

Transported to Holding Facility on Charges
Canfield was taken to the Knox County Holding Facility.
