Woman Indicted by Grand Jury Following Crash

Lacey Wiles from Hermon was indicted on February 13 by a Sagadahoc County Grand Jury following the crash on October 4, 2025.

Facing Multiple Charges Including Manslaughter, OUI and Aggravated assault

She was charged with Manslaughter, Aggravated Assault, Operating Under the Influence Causing Death, Aggravated Driving to Endanger and Operating Under the Influence Causing Injury.

Head-On Crash on Bridge

The crash happened around 10:38 pm on Route 196 at the Merrymeeting Bridge, according to the Topsham Police Department.

A 34-year-old man, Joseph Lemont from Bowdoin, was driving the second vehicle and died in the collision.

Woman Taken into Custody after Indictment and Charges

Wiles was taken into custody on the charges on Friday.

Arrested and Taken to the County Jail with Bail Set at $50,000

She was transported to the Penobscot County Jail and was being held with cash bail set at $50,000.
