A 21-year-old woman from Tracey Mills, New Brunswick has been charged with 12 offences in connection with a crash last year that killed a teenage girl and seriously injured five other young people.

Just before midnight on July 5, 2015, the West District RCMP responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 560 in Williamstown. A car carrying seven people left the road and rolled several times, ending up in a field. Police said six people were ejected from the car.

A 16-year-old girl from Glassville died at the scene. The five other passengers, ranging in age from 15 to 22 years old, suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Woodstock RCMP say Whitney Esther St. Pierre has been charged with one count of impaired driving causing the death of Emma Pearson.

Other charges include one count of having a blood alcohol level of more than 0.08 causing death, five counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, and five counts of having a blood alcohol level of more than 0.08 causing bodily harm.

St. Pierre is scheduled to appear in Woodstock Provincial Court on Tuesday, July 5  in connection with the charges.
