Canadian Red Cross Reports Couple’s Home Struck By Lightning In Florenceville-Bristol
The Canadian Red Cross reports that two people have been temporarily displaced after lightning struck their home during a thunderstorm Wednesday in Florencevill-Bristol.
According a report by Dan Bedell, Communications Director for the Canadian Red Cross, the lightning strike temporarily displaced the couple after it damaged the electrical system of their home along a rural road, a few kilometers northeast of Florenceville-Bristol.
The strike happened around 6 p.m. Atlantic Time Wednesday at 284 Lockhart Mill Road in New Brunswick.
Canadian Red Cross volunteers coordinated emergency lodging and meals for the man and woman while they await damage assessment by their insurance company.
No one was reported as being harmed in the incident.
