This will be the 8th annual Holiday Lights Parade for Bucksport.

It will be this Saturday the 9th beginning at 6 p.m. in downtown Bucksport.

And Bucksport makes a party out of the event and includes other activities. Like fireworks after the parade.

Come for the parade and stay for the fireworks. The parade in Bucksport starts downtown on Franklin Street, goes down Mill Street and back along Main Street.

After the parade fireworks are scheduled to be launched from across the Penobscot River coming from Fort Knox.  But you cannot  park or watch from Fort Knox, as it is closed to the public or the season.

Fireworks begin at 7:15 p.m.  A parade followed by fireworks is a great night of family fun.  And you’ll see all from the Bucksport waterfront, or along the parade route on Main Street.

Expect more than just Bucksport local residents this coming Saturday, as most city and town parades have taken place, and this becomes a bonus destination for many in the general area.

Ho Ho Ho, Here we go.
