The body of a 27-year-old man was found Wednesday morning in Cobbosseecontee Lake in Monmouth.

Body Found in Lake

The Maine Warden Service said Kyle Armstrong went bass fishing around 12 pm Tuesday.

Did Not Return Home

He did not return home and his family called 911 around saying he may have had a medical event.

Search for Missing Man

A search was launched around 9:30 pm Tuesday. The boat was located around 1 am Wednesday. Armstrong was not on board.

Body Found in Lifejacket

His body was found in the lake around 6:30 am Wednesday by a local resident. Armstrong was wearing a lifejacket.

Medical Event

The Maine Warden Service said “at this time it appears he suffered a medical event.”

Cause of Death

Armstrong was taken to the Maine Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm cause and manner of death.
