Two Bangor residents were ordered Monday to serve three years of supervised release for maintaining a drug involved premises.

Daniel Lyons, 42-years-old, and Laura Lyons, 31-years-old, of Bangor were sentenced in U.S. District Court by Chief Judge Nancy Torresen.

Daniel was sentenced to three years in prison, Laura was sentenced to two years in prison, and both were ordered to serve three years of supervised release for maintaining a drug involved premises.  Daniel pleaded guilty on March 28, 2016; Laura pleaded guilty on April 12, 2016.

According to Court records, between January and December 2014, the defendants maintained a residence on Essex Street in Bangor and allowed drug dealers to use it to store heroin and to sell heroin to area customers. The defendants were compensated with heroin.

The case was investigated by the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
