It was a nine year journey for those involved in the AROOSTOOK ‘House of Comfort’ but the doors were finally opened this past weekend for the public. (Pictured above - an inside look at the 'House of Comfort').

This facility is northern Maine’s first hospice facility.  What started as an idea in a hospital room of a loved one's suffering from the end stages of cancer has come to fruition with a beautiful facility that will bring peace and comfort to all that enter the door.

This six bed facility will officially be open to patients the first part of May. Watch the video below to see more:
