54-Year-Old Man Arrested after Chasing Kids with a Knife in Maine
A 54-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night in Portland after chasing children in a parking lot with a knife. The incident happened around 9:20 pm at the Shaw’s on Auburn Street.
Staff Sheltered Children until Police Arrived
The Portland Police Department said the staff at Shaw’s “sheltered the children in the store and locked the doors, helping keep them safe while officers were responding to the scene.”
Facing Multiple Charges
Curtis Crawford from Portland was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon as well as Criminal Trespass.
Taken to County Jail
Crawford was transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
