45-Year-Old Man Died after Truck Crashed in Maine
A 45-year-old man died Thursday morning after crashing into a tree on Brown Street in Kennebunk.
One Man Died after Hitting Tree with Pickup Truck
The Kennebunk County Sheriff’s Office said Freeman Hatch from Sanford was driving a pickup truck when he left the roadway, crossed over the street and came to rest against a tree.
Truck Crashed at Intersection
The crash happened around 11:45 am at the intersection of Brown Street and Swan Street.
Died at the Hospital
First responders attempted life saving measures after Hatch was found unresponsive at the scene. He was taken to Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford where he was pronounced dead.
Police said Driver “May Have Suffered Medical Event”
The Sheriff’s Office said “Hatch may have suffered a medical event while operating the vehicle, but the cause has yet to be determined.”
Investigation Remains Open
The crash investigation is ongoing. Assisting Deputies at the scene was the Kennebunk Fire Rescue, Kennebunk Police Department and the York Police Department.
