Police said 31-year-old Nicholas Tanous from East Millinocket, Maine has been charged with Class A Aggravated Unlawful Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs after a year-long investigation.
Search Warrant Conducted on Elm Street
A search warrant was conducted Tuesday, April 5, 2022 on Elm Street. Officers seized “in excess of 70 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, 8 grams of suspected meth, pills, firearms, $19,000 in U.S. currency, drug paraphernalia.” Other drug trafficking items were also seized.

The investigation was conducted by Detective Sergeant Patty McLaughlin. Additional charges are likely, said the East Millinocket Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
