Three children and a 48-year-old woman were injured after a car with blown tires crashed on Long Ridge Road in Burlington on Tuesday evening.

Car Driving with “Blown Tires” Crashed with Children in the Vehicle

The Maine State Police said Jennifer Harriman from Burlington was driving a Chevy Equinox with “with two blown tires prior to the crash.”

Vehicle Hit a Curb and Continued

“Witnesses observed the vehicle hitting a curb in Lincoln and continuing driving towards Burlington,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Three Young Children and Adult Injured

An 8-year-old, two one-year-olds and Harriman were injured and taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. One of the one-year-olds was transported by LifeFlight.

Rollover Crash with Tires Blown

Police said their vehicle rolled over and ended up on its side after the accident. “Both passenger side tires were blown,” said Moss.

Ongoing Crash Investigation

The crash is under investigation. Assisting the Maine State Police was the Maine Warden Service, Howland Fire Department, Lincoln Fire Department and LifeFlight.
