22-Year-Old Man Died after Crashing into Pole and Tree in Maine
A 22-year-old man died Monday morning after his vehicle left Turner Street and crashed into a telephone pole and trees in Canton.
Vehicle was Airborne and Hit Pole and Tree
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said Jared Bernard from Peru, Maine died after he lost control of the vehicle, went off the road, hit a driveway, went airborne, struck a telephone pole, hit another driveway, collided with a tree and turned on the driver’s side.
Single-Vehicle Crash happened in the Morning
Bernard was the only person in the Cadillac sedan when the crash happened around 5:30 am, said News Center Maine.
Road Closed for Hours
The road was closed for several hours in the area. The crash remains under investigation.
