A 19-year-old man was critically injured after crashing a motorcycle into a stone wall on Bridgton Road in Baldwin.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said the man hit the stone wall after failing to navigate a curve in the road. His name was not released.
Transported to Hospital with Critical Injuries
The 19-year-old had life-threatening injuries and was taken to Maine Medical Center.
Not Licensed or Permitted to Ride a Motorcycle
The Sheriff’s Office said he was not licensed or permitted to operate a motorcycle, according to WGME News.
Speed and Inexperience Believed to be Factors
He was not wearing a helmet when he crashed. Speed and driver inexperience are believed to be factors, said Deputies.
