
Man Faces 15 Years in Prison for Firearms Possession in Maine
A 46-year-old man pleaded guilty to firearms possession after previously being convicted of an assault felony in Maine.
Shoplifting Incident at Walmart
Rodney Skipper was taken into custody in September 2024 after reports of shoplifting at the Walmart in Brunswick.
Empty Firearms Holster
When officers arrived on the scene, Skipper was outside his vehicle in the parking lot. He was wearing an empty pistol holder on his hip.
Seen with a Firearm
“Skipper had been seen with a firearm in the holster before their arrival,” said the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Guns Seized from Vehicle
Police searched his vehicle and seized a 9mm pistol, a .40 caliber pistol, and a 10mm pistol.
Prior Assault Felony
He was prohibited from having a firearm due to a prior assault felony.
Faces up to 15 Years in Prison
Skipper faces up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The investigation is ongoing.
