You Can Take A Magical Steam Train Ride to a Pumpkin Patch in Maine

The foliage around the state is absolutely breathtaking right now. The beautiful sights coupled with the warm temperatures we've been having are perfect for fall time adventures.

The Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington Railway Museum is offering a unique opportunity to snag some pumpkins in time for Halloween with their Pumpkin Pickin' Trains to SeaLyon Farm.

Hop aboard their historic steam train at Sheepscot station and enjoy a ride to then board a hayride to SeaLyon Farm. Not only do they have a vast pumpkin patch with pumpkins of all sizes, but they also have delicious treats for sale and other family-friendly sights and activities to enjoy. All in all the fun lasts around an hour and a half.

If the pumpkin patch isn't your thing, maybe the Harvest Bonfire Train is more your style. Again at the beautiful SeaLyon farm, once you arrive you can enjoy a bonfire, burgers, and s'mores. This excursion lasts approximately 2 hours.

Both of these rides will be happening every Saturday through October.
