In October 2021, a simple, yet challenging word puzzle took the internet by storm a Welsh software engineer released Wordle to the world. It became so popular that the New York Times Company bought it a year later for seven figures.

The game is very similar to a game show called Lingo. Ru Paul hosts the current version of the game which has aired two seasons worth of shows.

The object of Wordle is to guess a five-letter word within six tries. After each guess,  letters are marked either green, yellow, or gray. Green means the letter is in the word and the right position. Yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong position and gray means the letter is not in the word. If a letter is in the word more than once, it will be only if the letter also appears multiple times in the word.

There's nothing more satisfying than solving the puzzle and it's even more satisfying when you can do it with only a couple of guesses. Players, of course, don't always win because the words can be really hard. Unscramblerer.com has found the 2024 Wordle stats for the hardest word for players to solve in each state based on the number of people who 'Wordle hint' monthly searches. Turns out New England states aren't very good at Wordle.
