Welcome to the fourth annual Golden Boot Awards! The Boot’s fan-voted digital awards, the Golden Boot Awards will, in 2017, feature 10 categories of staff-selected nominees who made waves in the country music world between May 2016 and April 2017. Readers can vote for their preferred winner in each category as often as once per hour through 11:59PM ET on June 4. We’ll announce the winners on the site the following Monday (June 5).

The past 12 months have left country fans with many unforgettable moments, but a few stand out above the rest. There was the time that Randy Travis stepped up to the mic and sang at his Country Music Hall of Fame induction. And the moment when the Dixie Chicks and Beyonce wowed the audience at the 2016 CMA Awards with a surprise performance. And who could forget when, on Jan. 1, fans awoke to Sam Hunt's surprise-released (and super-personal) song "Drinkin' Too Much" ... and then learned that, yes, he was engaged to the woman the song is addressed to, Hannah Lee Fowler.

Other unforgettable moments of the past year include when Jason Isbell surprised an audience at the Ryman Auditorium and reunited with his former band, the Drive-By Truckers, after nearly a decade apart, as well as the shocking death of lead character Rayna Jaymes on the hit show Nashville. Finally, and most recently, Florida Georgia Line teamed up with the Backstreet Boys at the 2017 ACM Awards for a present-to-past medley that included BSB's famous dance moves.

Which of these major moments was the year's most unforgettable? Pick your selection in the poll below!
